36 weeks

I went to the doctor on Friday and there isn't any change yet. Reese's heartbeat is slowing down and getting stronger to sound more like a little person. It made me nervous, but the doctor said that is what it is supposed to do. The doctor still says she is measuring big and will do an ultrasound next week so we should know more. I have started having Braxton Hicks contractions. I thought they were just hard kicks, but the doctor told me they weren't. You can tell this is my first child. I am so ready for my last week of school to be over so I can focus on washing all of Reese's clothes and getting the final touches ready. Reese is also starting to slow down her kicking, but I am seeing more and more knees and feet sticking out of my stomach. It is so amazing even though sometimes it hurts. I am getting a little nervous about labor. I am such a planner and it drives me crazy that I can't plan this. I can't believe she will be here in less than a month!!

Doctor's appointment

I went to the doctor and everything is still looking really great. I am 35 weeks and my weight and blood pressure are really good. Next week the doctor is going to measure Reese to see how big she is for sure. She told me that we will probably induce around 38 weeks since Reese is measuring big. She also knows how important it is to me to have as much time with Reese as possible, so I am keeping my fingers crossed she comes a little early. It has been tough lately trying to finish the school year out being 8 months pregnant, but the end is in sight. Yeah! I can't wait to welcome my baby girl into this world! I imagine holding her in my arms everyday!!

Gatesville Shower

My mom had a shower for me in Gatesville with the help of my aunts and cousins. It was so beautiful and I had so much fun visiting with family and friends. I don't get to get together much with my family, so it was really nice. My aunts went together to get my car seat and stroller system, which was very sweet of them and Reese got so many beautiful clothes, hairbows, and goodies. I am very blessed to have 4 aunts and tons of cousins that are always there for me and love me very much. My mom wrote a very sweet poem to us as well, that we will treasure. Here are some pictures from the shower!

7 weeks to go or less

Well, I am almost 33 weeks now. I went to the doctor today and everything looks great! Reese is doing good and growing quickly. The doctor said she will probably induce labor at least a week early because Reese is big and she wants to make sure that I can have her naturally. Which is great news considering at the beginning we were scared she wouldn't grow. All the prayers, love, and support have helped! Reese's room is getting closer so I hope to post pictures soon. I am realizing and I am going to be a mommy very soon and couldn't be more thrilled. I am feeling good, except I am starting to get tired again like I did during the first trimester.

Couple's Baby Shower from Mandy, Erin, and Erin

We had a couple's baby shower yesterday hosted by Mandy Roper, Erin Heflin, and Erin Roper. It was so beautiful and we had a blast. It was so nice to visit with friends and the guys had a great time too. The girls stayed inside and talked baby and caught up on old times, while the boys stayed outside and played washers. It was such a nice shower and Reese got lots of great stuff. Chris and I are very blessed to have such wonderful friends!!
