Happy Thanksgiving

We spent this Thanksgiving in Gatesville with my parents. We had such a good time and Reese got to spent some time with great aunts and cousins. She got to feed horses and goats which she loves. She also loved her Thanksgiving dinner. Her favorite part was sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and of course pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream. Mom made her this adorable dress and church has the prefect fall backdrop set up to snap a few pictures. This year at school I really tried to teach my kiddos the "true meaning" of Thanksgiving which is hard to teach because they live in an "all about me" bubble, but it has made me so grateful for all of the things in my life. I am thankful for my amazing daughter, husband, and my parents and family and in-laws, my wonderful friends that are like family, a job I love, and a beautiful home. I can't wait to teach Reese the true meaning of Thanksgiving!

Mom bought this butter shaped like a turkey. It was so cute!

17 months/First Bike Ride

We took our first bike ride to the park today and we all had so much fun. Daddy got me a bike for my birthday and Jenn and Andy passed down the bike trailer to us. We had so much fun!! Reese loved it!

17 Months
Reese turned 17 months old on Thursday. Here are some of the new things she is doing:
understands everything, repeats everything, all colors are yellow or pink, all letters are e and r, she can get whatever book we ask her too and interacts with them, says yeah or no to questions depending on if she wants to do it, jumps, and says Amen, thank you, bless you, and please in the right context. She is also throwing some pretty big fits when we have to tell her no. But her fits don't last too long. I love my sweet Reesie!!

Mommy's Birthday!

Today was my birthday, the big 3-2! I had such a great birthday. We had the most beautiful Veteran's Day celebration at school that brought tears to my eyes. I love my job. Then Chris, Reese, and I went out to eat Mexican food. Daddy and Reese made me a sweet card. Chris and I were watching Sprout the other day with Reese and they always have craft ideas. Chris asked Miss Lannie to help him make me a card he saw on Sprout. Daddy's hands are on the outside making a heart and Reese's are on the inside. I was so proud of Chris for being so thoughtful. It truely is the little things in life! They also got me a bike. Chris has one and I have been wanting one. Now we just have to get a seat for Reese and we can ride bikes to the park. I am one lucky girl!!

What Reese has been up to?

We have been very busy during the month of October. We have had birthday parties every weekend. I am not good at taking pictures at parties, because I stay busy chasing Reesie but here are a few.
At her cousin, Joe's soccer game.

Reese loves to color.
