Good News from Doctor

I went to the doctor today and everything looked great. The baby's heartbeat was strong and the baby even kicked the doctor(we heard the whish) The baby is very active and is growing! The doctor said for me to continue to take it easy. I go back to her in 4 weeks and she said after that if everything keeps progressing she doesn't have any worries I'll make it to the end. I feel so much better. In 2 more weeks we get to find out what we are having!! {Even though I know it's a girl)

Trip to the Specialist

Last Friday I went to see a specialist to find out that I have 20 percent of my placenta detached. The good news is the baby is still growing and getting all the food it needs right now. The baby was between 48 to 54 percent in all areas of growth which is great! The doctor said in most cases it is fine. The baby grows and it turns out to be a healthy strong baby. We have been praying that is the case. She said the best thing for me to do it rest as much as possible. I am trying to stay positive and strong for my little one. I know that is in God's hands and I have a wonderful support system. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers!! We go back to the specialist in 3 weeks where we will find out the sex and see the growth and in a week for our normal check-up!

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone has a happy 2009! I know Chris and I are so excited about bringing a baby into our world this year. I will be 16 weeks on Sunday, so only 4 more weeks until we find out what we are having. I just have a feeling that it is going to be a baby girl, but I could be totally wrong. When we got the ultrasound at 14 weeks the doctor kept calling the baby a she. I caught on and asked her why. She said if it is a boy you can usually tell at 11 weeks, but she is not sure. We will have to see. Chris really wants his first to be a boy to play sports with, but I know he will fall in love with a baby girl!! I am finally getting my energy back and my apetite has increased this week. I will keep you posted!!

14 week check-up

I went to the doctor today and everything looks great!! Thank goodness. I was so concerned. My doctor said since the bleeding has stopped, I just overdid it with Christmas, work and everything else going on. I just tore the placenta a bit, but it rebuilds itself. She told me just to slow down and take it easier. Which is hard for me, but I will do whatever it takes for my baby!! The baby's heartbeat is strong and beating at a good speed. We have 5 more weeks until we find out what we are having! We are so excited! Thanks for all of your prayers and support!!

Christmas

We had such a great Christmas this year. It started off going to church on Christmas Eve. Christmas day was spend at Lady's(Chris's moms) I wasn't able to do much because I had to stay on the couch, but we had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. Lady gave the little one it's very first Disney ornanment for the tree.
My parents came down Christmas night. We were supposed to go to Gatesville, but the doctor didn't want me to travel. It is amazing how mom's make everything better! She cleaned my house for me and did all the cooking. It made me stress-free. We had Christmas on Saturday. G-Pop and G-ma spoiled their grandchild already. The baby got so many gifts and the most special was it's very first build-a-bear monkey that G-ma made for it. I know the baby is going to love it!!
I am feeling alot better, no bleeding in 3 days!! I got to the doctor today for a check-up. I attached a belly picture. Yes, I already have a pouch at 14 weeks, but I have only gained 3 pounds.

Scary Night

Yesterday starting off being a great day. I finished my shopping, wrapped presents, then Chris and I went to look at Christmas lights.Then we got home and I went to the restroom and noticed I was bleeding. We called the doctor and she said she would get me in first thing in the morning, not to worry. Well, being first time parents this was not a good enough answer. So Chris an I went to the emergency room. When we got there the bleeding got more heavy. I was in tears! I didn't feel any pain at all, I was just very worried about my baby! When we finally got into the room they did an ultrasound and my baby's heart was beating and the baby was moving like crazy. My prayers were answered and I realized how much I love this baby that I have never even meet. All I wanted was for my baby to be OK and the baby is. My blood pressure was almost 200 from the stress and they did some blood work to find out that I was A negative blood type. I was losing alot of blood so they gave me my Rh immune shot. 5 hours later after my blood pressure went down we got to go home.
I went to my OBGYN today for a follow-up.Everything looked great. All of my tests were normal and the baby was on the move again. The baby was waving at us letting mommy and daddy know it is OK. Chris and I immediately broke down seeing the precious angel. The doctor says my placenta is just bleeding and it is rare, but normal. Thank god!! She told me to get lots of rest and take it easy. I am so happy and relieved that everything is OK. The experience made me remember to be thankful for all the wonderful things in my life(husband, baby, family,and friends.
