We went with G-Ma and G-Pop(my parents) on our family vacation to Galveston. We all had such a blast. Reese is of course to young to get in the water or stay in the sun, so we showed her the beach for about 10 minutes and got some pictures. Mom has better ones on her camera so I will post those soon. Reese slept through her whole 10minutes on the beach. I can't wait until next year. She will be all over the place. We had a great time taking turns going to the beach and playing with Reese!! Our happy family She LOVES her grandparents Reese found her thumb! Bathtime Napping with Mommy Dinner with Mommy Staring at Daddy Chillin in her boppy
Look at those blue eyes!! She is going to get mommy and daddy everytime with those. We both went to the doctor this week. Reese is doing great. She has gained 14 ounces and grown a fourth an inch which is right on target. She got 1 shot and it broke my heart. Next month it is 4, yikes!!
Reese loves tummy time. She trys to kick her legs and push up already. I think she is going to be walking early, because she is so strong. Here are some pictures of tummy time!!
Reese loves to be in her swaddle blanket and rocked to sleep. All I have to do it rock her and sing, read, or tell stories for about 10 minutes and she is out. I know people, poor Reese having to listen to me sing, but she loves it. Daddy snuck in and took pictures when we weren't watching. I wish she would stay this size forever!!
Every part of being a mother is special. I love watching Reese sleep. I know I should be resting and getting stuff done, but I spend most of her nap staring at her and taking pictures. The swaddle blanket is the best invention ever. Whenever we try to swaddle her ourselves the Great Houdini is out of it in 5 minutes. Here are some pictures of my sleeping beauty!! Daddy and his babies Nap time! The swaddle blanket is the best invention ever!
Reese had her first big girl bath on Monday and she loved it. I was a little nervous because she has hated her sponge baths, but she loved it. She didn't cry one time. She has mommy and daddy's curly hair when it is wet. I think it's adorable, but I am afraid she is going to hate us for it later on. I feel very lucky to have such a good baby. She only wakes up once a night to eat and goes right back to sleep. She is happy almost all of the time. Here are some pictures of her first bath!!
We went on our first road trip this past weekend to visit my parents in Gatesville. I was a little nervous about the drive, but Reese was such a good girl. We only had to pull over once on the way there and she sleep the whole way back. We had a blast visiting my family. My aunt has taken photography classes and was so excited to take pictures of her great niece! Here are some of them. She did a wonderful job! We had so much fun dressing her in all her outfits. Aunt Sharon, thanks a bunch and get that camera ready for the next time we come home. Reese was 2 weeks old yesterday. I can honestly say that it has been the best 2 weeks in my life even though I am exhaused. I am so in love with Reese and can't imagine ever letting her go. Tears are flowing just thinking about it. Reese, thanks for giving mommy the best 2 weeks ever and I look forward to being there as you grow!!!
