Happy Father's Day

Chris had a great first father's day! He is such a proud daddy and it melts my heart seeing him with her. He always has to touch her and stare at her. Reese loves her daddy's voice and looks at him. She already knows that daddy is her hero. Daddy loves to put her in her stroller and walk her around the neighborhood to show her of. Reese is such a lucky girl to have such an amazing daddy and I feel blessed to have such an amazing husband!!!

Reese's Arrival

Reese Elizabeth Uschold joined our world on June 17th at 2:37 pm weighing a whopping 9 pounds. She is so beautiful and we are so in love with her. We went in Tuesday night and the doctor induced my labor Wednesday morning at 4:30 am. By 6 I was already having contractions pretty bad. At 10 they gave me my epidural and I fell asleep. At 11 I was already at a 8 and I started shaking. 20 minutes later we started pushing and pushing and pushing. The doctor could see the head right away, but could not get it past the wall. I tried as hard as I could, but nothing happened. Reese's heartbeat started to speed up so the doctor decided we needed to do a c-section right away. I was in tears because I wanted so bad to have her naturally, but I couldn't do it anymore and Reese was in danger. Only Chris was allowed to be in for the c-section. It was great because I could still hear everything and feel a part of it. To get Reese out the nurse had to get on the table and push my stomach. The second we heard that first cry Chris and I both burst out into tears. When I close my eyes I can still hear that first cry. Nothing can ever be more amazing than that experience. We are so very blessed and I feel so complete!!

new update

I went back to the doctor this morning and I have dilated to a 1 and my cervix has softened a little. Not much progress I know, but some. We are checking in tomorrow at 6 pm and if the medicine works I will be induced Wednesday morning and Reese will arrive on June 17th. Daddy thinks it's funny because I am such a planner and I even got to plan out my own delivery. Please keep us all in your prayers.

Coming Soon

We went to the doctor this morning and we have a plan! Reese will be induced on Thursday the 18th. Reese is big so the doctor is ready to induce, but my cervix is not softening. So I have to walk like crazy this week. She will check me in Wednesday night and give me medicine to soften the cervix and then induce Thursday morning. I have to go back Monday and if it has softened any we may get to have here even earlier. I am soo ready for her to be here, but I am getting a little nervous!!

Reese's room

Reese's room is almost finished and we love her little princess room! We are still waiting on her glider, bumper, and lamp to come in. I think half of the things we ordered were on backorder. Daddy still has a few more things to hang on the wall. As you can tell from Reese's closet and bows, mommy will be playing dress-up everyday and I can't wait. We are very proud of her room!!

37 weeks

I went to the doctor on Friday and Reese is measuring about 7 and a half pounds. The doctor said to give or take a pound. My cervix hasn't softened and I haven't dilated any. I go back on Friday and we will check again to see where to go from there. The doctor is a little concerned that she is getting too big and a C-section might be an option, but we will know more on Friday. I have been walking alot hoping that helps. I am ready for her to be here, but I am thankful that she has made it full term since at one time we were afraid she would be here way too early. Mom came this weekend and helped me finish Reese's room, so now I am finishing packing and waiting for my baby girl's arrival.
