What we have been up to?

I know I am way behind on blogging. Things have been very crazy these last couple of weeks. I was working fulltime, keeping up with my active 2 year old, getting Riley's room ready, and running around all weekend, and doing way too much. When I went to the doctor this Thursday my blood pressure was really high. My doctor knows I work at school, so she wanted my nurse to monitor it Friday. I called her at lunch with my results and she said I had an hour to get to labor and delivery for tests and more monitoring, and I could not go back to work. So I had to leave unprepared for my long term sub. After running tests, I was released. Reese was sick all weekend with 103 temperature. My parents came into town to help Chris and I out. Reese just had a little bug, but is better today! Yesterday I went back to doctor and because my blood pressure was still high on bed rest, she sent me back to labor and delivery! They ran all the same tests and released me again. I have to go see my doctor every other day until delivery. C-section is scheduled for October 13th at 39 weeks. The crazy part is she delivered Reese at 38 weeks and she was perfectly healthy. We found out through the nurse that the rules and guidelines have changed and the doctors get in trouble for delivering scheduled c-sections before 39 weeks without really good reason. Well, I think I have a really good reason, but I'm not the doctor so I will wait and see. The good thing is Riley is doing great and healthy and that's all that matters!! I am just ready to chase Reese around the yard and play with both my sweet girls! I am trying to relax, but bed rest is horrible!

My amazing mother, sister, and cousin-law had a shower for me last weekend! It was beautiful and Riley got so many cute things. She got tons of personalized stuff which I love and special clothes. She also got all of her bedding, tons of diapers, and neccesities. Reese did good getting lots of big sister stuff. It was so nice to have family and friends celebrate Riley! We are so thankful to have so many people that love us!

Reese Update: Reese is becoming such an amazing big girl. She is almost fully potty trained and I can't take any of the credit. Her day care teacher said she thought she was ready, so we started trying. I was planning to wait until after Riley got here. It only took about a week and she is accident free most days. She sleeps in a pull-up at nap and night-time and when we are going somewhere for a long time. But at school and home she wears panties and is doing great! She knows tons of songs, can identify all her letters, and count to 20, is learning what letters sound like, loves gymnastics and listens so well, and is starting to color objects pretty well.I am so proud of her. She is going to be such a good big sister!!

And the name is...

Riley Grace. Chris and I always had the name Riley picked out and I have always loved Grace for a middle name. We think Reese and Riley are perfect names for sisters. We are so excited for Riley to get here so our little family can grow. Although I am not as prepared as a thought I would be. I will be 35 weeks on Friday and will have a c-section at 38 or 39 for sure, yikes! The room is getting there. I am just trying to get everything ready to leave school so I don't leave my team to pick up my slack. They are amazing and so is my long-term sub, but I am sort-of a control freak at work. I know everything will work out. I can't believe my sweet girl is almost here. It has gone by soo fast this time. I can''t wait to hold her in my arms and do all the baby stuff over again. I can't wait to see Reese as a big sister. She is such a big helper and has such a big heart I know she is going to be great.Riley Grace, we love you baby! See you soon!

My Little Gymnast

Reese started a new gymnastics place on Saturday. It is Westwood Gym in Katy. My friend Jana told me about it. That is where her 2 girls go. We loved our experience with The Little Gy,m but were ready for something more. Little Gym was great, but it was more playing that anything. The new place is amazing! Her class has 7 children with 2 teachers. They divide up so 3 to 4 kids work one-on-one with the teacher. She is still in the mommy and me class until she is 3. I am so proud of how independent Reese is and how much of a risk-taker she is. She is not clingy to me and all and will go with the teacher and try new things. We love our new gym!

Astros Game

Reese's Aunt Jenny was racing on the field as a hot sauce packet. How cool it that? So she got us all tickets and we went to the game. Reese had a blast cheering, playing with her cousins, and watching all the things going on. When we got to the game she pointed to the field and said that's daddy's favorite game. We sing take me out to the ballgame all the time. She did a great job, but was pretty tired toward the end without a nap. Here are a few pictures from the game.
Baby Update: I am 33 weeks. I can't believe how fast 9 months goes by when you have a 2 year old to keep up with. The pregnancy is going great. It is tougher than I thought being back at work, but I only have 5 or 6 weeks left. I can't wait to be a family of 4!!

Jackson and Ava's birthday!

We went to Jackson and Ava's 2nd birthday a couple of weeks ago. I know I'm behind on blogging but I have been so busy going back to work and being 7 months pregnant is pretty tough with the start of school. Reese had a blast at the party! She got to go in a petting zoo, ride her first pony, swim, and eat lots of goodies. Here are some pictures from the party!

Galveston with Pop Pop and G-Me

We took our annual trip to Galveston with Pop Pop and G-me. Chris stayed until Tuesday and Reese and I stayed until Friday! We had a great time relaxing, swimming, going out to eat, and spending time together. Reese had a great time and loved playing at the pool. She got really brave in the water. She wanted to love the beach, but wasn't sure of the sand. Thanks G-Me and Pop Pop for taking us to the beach again. We had a great time!!!
