Easter Eve

We had a great day the Saturday before Easter. My parents were in town. It was a very fun-filled day. We went to gymastics, a neighborhood Easter egg hunt, dyed eggs, played with the ducks and the swingset, did water activites, and went to a neighbor's crawfish boil all in 1 day. Here are tons of pictures from our busy day!
Waiting for her suprise. She is such a little ham!

Pop pop and G-Me suprised Reese with baby ducks for Easter! They brought them down for the weekend and then took them back to raise them. Reese was so funny with the ducks. At first she was scared, running from them, screaming, laughing, and being silly. But by the end of the weekend the ducks were her BFF's. She kept asking about them when they left, but she can't wait to see them next weekend in Gatesville.

Reese sat and watched the ducks all weekend.

Reese got brave and even held the ducks and let them climb on her.

Reese really got into dying eggs this year. She probably sat at the table for 20 minutes and dipped them in the color and them put stickers on it.

Notice tongue out while concentrating

It was such a beautiful, warm day we got out the sprinkler toy and Reese had a blast! We had a blast laughing at her!

Reese decided climbing in her splash pad was a better option.

Our neighbors gave us their swingset that was built by hand. It took 4 of our neighbors to carry it over. We still need to stain it and do some work to it, but we love it. We are out there every evening. We are also very blessed to have such great neighbors and friends.

All the neighbors came over to see the ducks and try out the new swingset. There was alot of kids!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

Reese had her Easter Egg Hunt at school on Thursday and Mrs. Lannie sent me some pictures. It looks like she is having so much fun. We are so blessed that we found such a great place for her to stay during the day. Reese loves going to her and is excited every morning. We will eventually send her to a real daycare before school to get some school experience, but right now this is the best fit for us. Reese is learning so much with her. She nows all her colors, shapes, is working on counting to 10 and her ABC song, and can identify a couple of letters of the alphabet. I have lots more Easter posts to come. We had a very busy Easter holiday!

Sugar Land Eggstravaganza!

We went to the Sugar Land Easter Egg hunt last Saturday! We had lots of fun and it was a beautiful day outside. The egg hunt was very crowded though, so we only got to do a couple of things until Reese was about to crash. She had a blast though and I love watching her so happy exploring new things!!

Family and Friends

Reese had a blast finding eggs. She was a pro. She even won a special prize and got to pick out a ball. Of course, it is a 6 egg limit and the high school kid in charge decided to grab her basket and dump out all her eggs but 6 right in front of her, instead of letting mommy sneak them out. Reese and I were not happy campers, but she got over it quickly.

Reese is going to be a....

a BIG SISTER!! We are so excited to announce that we are expecting baby # 2 on October 20. I am 13 weeks pregnant and in the last week of my first trimester. Reese is going to be a great big sister and we are glad she will have a sibling to grow up with. She loves babies. She doesn't love mommy to hold any other babies, but we will work on that. They will be 2 years and 4 months apart. Everything with baby #2 is going well. The first trimester has been a little rough for me being tired and nauseous(which was new to me because I wasn't with Reese at all), but I am starting to get my energy back and feel better. We suprised the grandparents and family by having Reese wear her big sister shirt!!

Reese is getting so good at driving her motorcycle. Look at her go!

Bluebonnets

We went to take our annual Bluebonnet pictures this year. Miss Reesie was not in a good mood and didn't want to have her picture taken. We did get some cute ones with lots of effort. The bluebonnets are already started to die with our lack of rain. I wish they lasted longer! Here is our pretty girl!!

Sunday Funday!!

We had such a great day today. We sleep in(until 7:30), went to church, went to my friend Erin's son's birthday party, and came home and played outside while Daddy grilled. The party was at a Bouncie place and was lots of fun. I love the weekends at home with my family and dread leaving them to go to work. But I am thankful for an awesome job so we can do fun things on the weekends! Reese is so fun these days. I love the "conversations" we have together and seeing her laugh and learn new things. She is such a happy girl with loads of energy!!
Happy girl before Church
